The Erie SeaWolves beat the Bowie Baysox, 1-0, at Jerry Uht Park. Starting pitcher Fernando Sandoval was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Sandoval, now 3-1, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Jonathan Williams locked down his 3rd save.

Jack Childs was a prime factor in the win for the SeaWolves. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, the 25-year old center fielder hit a run-scoring single. He was 1 for 4.
