Carr Now 5-2 After Subduing Mets
|
Pitcher Mike Carr was sensational for the Harrisburg Senators in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Binghamton Mets. Carr earned the win. The second-place Mets have lost 6 straight games.
Carr, the winner, is now 5-2. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 1 hit, while collecting 6 Ks. He essentially shut down the Binghamton offense.
"Mike gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Harrisburg skipper Tan Timmermans.
