Mets Topple Fisher Cats, 8-1, as Holt Shines
The Binghamton Mets beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 8-1, at NYSEG Stadium. David Holt, in particular, was impressive. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Allen Bucklew, the winner, is now 1-1. He struck out 5 and walked 3 over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The victory makes Binghamton 11-22.

Josh Roberts had a big 2-run triple for the Mets in the bottom of the second inning. With Binghamton leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Kremer and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets ahead, 3-0.

"We did a lot of things right," said Roberts.
