Fightin Phils Beat Flying Squirrels, 4-1
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Fightin Phils beat the Flying Squirrels.
The Reading Fightin Phils defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 4-1, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Reading left fielder Vinny Bezanson had a superb performance. He was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reading, with the win, climbs to 10-23.
The Fightin Phils got a big at-bat from right fielder Steve Kraus. For the game, Kraus went 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Reading a 3-1 lead.
"Watch and learn," said Bezanson. "This is what good pitching looks like."
