Thunder 5-3 Winners Versus Altoona
The Trenton Thunder earned a win at People's Natural Gas Field, knocking off the Altoona Curve, 5-3. On the bump for Trenton was right-hander Jose Alfonso. He had a starring role in the triumph. Alfonso, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. David Harris picked up his 5th save of the season.

Stephen Hayman had a big 2-run double for the Thunder in the top of the third inning. With Trenton leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Edwin Colomer, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in wins with 4, and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunder ahead, 4-0.

Said losing manager Gerardo Zarco: "We just didn't get it done tonight."

With the win, the Thunder have a record of 15-19.
