Altoona second baseman Ryan Jackson was a significant contributor in his team's 9-7 triumph over the Trenton Thunder. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs for the Curve. The win went to Andy Levings in relief, making him now 2-0. Austin Stutzman took the loss for Trenton. Picking up the save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Randy Owen.

Sam Garrett had a big 2-run double for the Curve in the top of the fifth inning. With Altoona trailing 4-3 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Austin Stutzman and swatted a double to right. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Curve ahead, 5-4.

"Nice win for us," said Jackson. "Now we'll go after the next one."

Altoona now sports a record of 23-12.
