The Reading Fightin Phils downed the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 8-2, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Nick Vega led the way, going 3-for-4 for Reading. The 5th-place Fightin Phils own a record of 11-24.

Vega contributed in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Reading get the win.

"They took it to us," said Richmond manager Fernando Melendez.
