RubberDucks Rally Late to Nip Fightin Phils
RubberDucks fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

The Akron RubberDucks did just enough to nip the Reading Fightin Phils, 6-5, in 10 innings. Akron left fielder Nelson Preciado, in particular, had a standout performance. Antonio Gonzalez, now 2-1, was credited with the win in 3.2 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Akron trailing 5-4, Preciado hit a sinker from Xhemil Ahmetaj for a 2-run home run, giving the RubberDucks the walk-off win.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said RubberDucks manager Chris Knowlton.

The RubberDucks are now 19-19, while the Fightin Phils fall to 19-18.
