Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Fightin Phils
The Reading Fightin Phils did just enough to sneak past the Hartford Yard Goats, 4-3, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Reading pitcher Bob Chaffee, in particular, had a standout performance. Estevan Santiago earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 3-1. Yes, it was a win for Reading; but their 13-27 record is still nothing to boast about.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Reading trailing 3-2, Sean Boswell hit a curveball from Jim Gayle to left-center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Fightin Phils had a walk-off win.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Chaffee said.
