New Hampshire Fisher Cats starter Jason Clark was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Binghamton Mets, 2-1. New Hampshire reliever Brian Gottstein got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Josh Colbert was tagged with the loss. Binghamton is 2-3 after the defeat.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Brendon D'Amato came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Binghamton pitcher Josh Colbert, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting New Hampshire on top, 2-1.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Clark.
