Thunder Defeat Yard Goats, 3-2
|
Chris Williams, who is tied for 5th in the EL in complete games with 1, had a strong outing for the Trenton Thunder against the Hartford Yard Goats at Arm & Hammer Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Despite the win, the Thunder have a lousy 13-29 record.
The decisive blow was delivered by Justin White in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Bryson Moffatt to win the game for Trenton. The home crowd went nuts.
"Chris made some big pitches when he needed to," said Thunder manager Melvin Slosar.
