Altoona Gets 7-2 Win Against Fisher Cats
|
Not everyone stuck through the 31-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Getting an impressive start from Jordan Badillo, Altoona beat New Hampshire by the score of 7-2. Tim Knowles picked up his 13th save of the season.
The Curve got a big at-bat from right fielder Steve Urich. For the game, Urich was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Altoona a 2-1 lead.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Urich told the Altoona Herald.
Altoona, at 26-16, sits in first place in the Southern Division.
