Correa, Flying Squirrels Shut Out RubberDucks, 5-0
|
Richmond hurler Mario Correa put on quite a show, as he blitzed the Akron RubberDucks with a 5-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 2 hits with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk to pick up the win.
"I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Akron manager Juan Nunez told reporters after the game.
This season, Correa has been credited with no saves. In no relief appearances and 65.2 innings he has a 3-2 won-lost mark, 4.11 ERA and 56 strikeouts
