Luis Rodas was masterful in helping the New Hampshire Fisher Cats take down the Portland Sea Dogs, 1-0. Mike Carey nailed down the save. With the win, New Hampshire has a record of 27-17. Portland falls to 20-24.

New Hampshire needed the clutch hitting of Mendu Varoshi to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fisher Cats on top, 1-0. For the game, Varoshi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Varoshi told a New Hampshire Citizen reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
