Akron right fielder Eric Hoskins was sensational. He was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Bowie beat the RubberDucks, 8-5. The winning pitcher was Mike Joseph. He's now 3-1. He went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits for the Baysox. At 34-9, the Baysox find themselves in first place in the Southern Division.

Willie Montelongo's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 5-5. The Bowie second baseman hit a run-scoring single off Lee Clark to put the Baysox up.
