Jose Diaz pitched a dandy of a game to help the Altoona Curve beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 2-1. The winner was Diaz. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Justin Brock. Patrick Moore picked up the save for Altoona, his 2nd of the year.
Altoona second baseman Kyle See helped the Curve go up, 2-0, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, See hit a 2-run single off Richmond pitcher Justin Brock.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," See told the Altoona Citizen.
Altoona's record now stands at 26-16, placing them second in the Southern Division.
