RubberDucks Resilient in 8-4 Win Over Richmond
The Akron RubberDucks walked off with a big win.

Behind a fine performance from Ben LaPorte, the Akron RubberDucks knocked off the Richmond Flying Squirrels in 10 innings, 8-4. LaPorte went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 7 runs and scored once for the RubberDucks. The win puts Akron at 3-2.

In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, LaPorte hammered a grand slam home run to win it for Akron.

LaPorte told a Akron Herald reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
