Mets Handled by Trenton, 4-1
|
The Trenton Thunder beat the Binghamton Mets, 4-1. Trenton pitcher and Lodi, California, native Justin Ferriss led the way. The Thunder' win now puts them at 17-29.
The Thunder got a big hit from first baseman David Shamp. In the bottom of the fifth, Shamp pounded a 2-run double to left. His 10th double of the season put the Thunder ahead, 3-0.
"It's a mindset," said Ferriss. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
