Mets Net 5-4 Win Over SeaWolves
|
The Binghamton Mets locked up a win at Jerry Uht Park, knocking off the Erie SeaWolves, 5-4. On the mound for Binghamton was right-hander Ricardo Neri. He played a major role in the triumph. Geoff Brown nailed down the save. Their 19-27 record puts the Mets 5th in the Northern Division.
Binghamton used a well-timed hit by Marco Cubero to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Mets ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Erie manager Toby West said, following the tough loss.
