Baysox Rally to Win, 3-2

The Bowie Baysox found a way to sneak past the Akron RubberDucks, 3-2, in 10 innings. Bowie pitcher Donte Reed, for one, had a standout performance. Jeff Lambert, 2-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. Bowie has a record of 24-22, placing them third in the Southern Division.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 22-year old third baseman Shane Pendleton had a chance to be the hero. Akron pitcher John Forrester wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Pendleton drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Baysox had themselves a thrilling win.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Akron manager Michael Chiquito.
