The fans at Prince George's Stadium witnessed quite a game.

The Bowie Baysox earned a close win over the Reading Fightin Phils, thanks in part to Juan Marquez. The Bowie right-hander, who leads the EL in strikeouts with 74, played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. Dave Escobar notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-1.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Bowie shortstop Josh Hood, facing Chris Irizarry, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Baysox the 3-2 win.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bowie manager Seth Dugas said.

The 'W' lifts Bowie's record to 34-12.
