The game between Akron and Portland is in the books, despite a little rain.

The Akron RubberDucks got a stellar performance from pitcher Tony Luster, who handcuffed the Portland offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Hadlock Field. Luster picked up the win for Akron, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Picking up the save was Marty Olmedo, his 1st.

Jim Capone provided a timely hit. The Akron left fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the RubberDucks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Capone told a Akron Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

With the win, Akron goes to 2-3.
