SeaWolves Win 5th Straight, Take Down Thunder, 5-1
|
The rain did not keep Erie and Trenton from finishing their game.
The Erie SeaWolves beat the Trenton Thunder, 5-1, at Arm & Hammer Park. Starting pitcher Alexis Javier was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Dustin Gaul notched his 1st save of the season.
Erie used the hitting of Mike Hull to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the SeaWolves on top, 3-0. For the game, Hull had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Erie manager Toby West.
Erie currently is in second place in the Southern Division at 29-18.
