Fightin Phils Snatch Late Win
A good performance from left fielder Nick Angelo helped the Reading Fightin Phils defeat the Hartford Yard Goats, 6-2. Angelo was 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Fightin Phils. Estevan Santiago, now 4-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The win has Reading at 14-33.

Reading used a timely hit from Jake Kimpel to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fightin Phils ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Winning never gets dull," said Kimpel.
