Munoz Leads Syracuse Past Buffalo
The Syracuse Chiefs and Buffalo Bisons played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Syracuse picked up a win at NBT Bank Stadium, bumping off the Buffalo Bisons, 2-1. Pitcher Pedro Munoz was a major reason the Chiefs emerged victorious. The loss makes Buffalo 26-11.

Munoz, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 7 in 8 innings and gave up 1 run.

Munoz, who is tied for 10th in the IL with a 1 complete games, moves to 4-3 on the year with 46 strikeouts.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Munoz told the Syracuse Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
