Red Wings Shut Out by Zmuda, 5-0
|
Matt Zmuda kept the Rochester Red Wings hitters from doing any damage at Frontier Field today.
Rochester could only muster 1 hit and take 2 walks against the right-handed Zmuda, who controlled them throughout the game as Scranton WB took the contest, 5-0. Zmuda added 14 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Zmuda told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
Zmuda has fashioned a 5-0 mark for the season, 1.55 ERA and thrown 58 innings in 8 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .144 against him.
