Tides Defeated, 4-2, After Gwinnett Rallies
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Gwinnett Braves got the win.
The Gwinnett Braves picked up a win at Harbor Park, taking down the Norfolk Tides, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jesus Jauregui was a big reason why. Jauregui, now 5-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.
Gwinnett used a timely hit from Gary Tishler to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Braves ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Tishler.
Gwinnett now owns a record of 19-21.
