|
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs beat the Scranton WB RailRiders, 3-2. Lehigh Valley pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Victor Flores led the way. The winner was Flores. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was John Hutchison. Lehigh Valley is last in the North Division with a record of 13-29.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 2-2 tie, Lehigh Valley right fielder Jake Romer reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Lehigh Valley on top, 3-2.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Flores told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
