Indians Top Clippers in Extras, 4-2
|
Fans who congregated at Huntington Park were treated to extra-inning drama.
Indianapolis Indians starter Albert de Leon pitched his team past the Columbus Clippers in 10 innings, 4-2. The defeat makes Columbus 19-23.
Though he did not get the decision, de Leon did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 8 innings, until Indianapolis eventually rallied past the Clippers.
"We had a good game plan," de Leon said, "and we were able to execute it."
