The Altoona Curve got a stellar effort from pitcher Matt Postlethwaite, helping Altoona score a win over the visiting Richmond Flying Squirrels, 2-1, in 10 innings. Noah Cirbus claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 4-0. Altoona is now 33-19, while Richmond is 25-27.
The Curve got a clutch hit from right fielder Fred Trent. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Curve.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Postlethwaite.
