Louisville Gets 6-5 Win Versus Buffalo in 11
Despite a fine performance by center fielder Steve Bova, the Buffalo Bisons lost to the Louisville Bats, 6-5. Bova was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The win went to Mike Gehrls in relief, making him now 1-0. Gene Kaiser took the loss for Buffalo. The Bats improved to 23-21.

Batting in the bottom of the 11th, 29-year old right fielder Jahlani Strubhar had a real shot to win the game. Buffalo pitcher Gene Kaiser was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Strubhar hit a run-scoring single. The Bats had a walk-off triumph.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Strubhar.
