The Scranton WB RailRiders beat the Gwinnett Braves, 6-3. Scranton WB pitcher and Montgomery, Alabama, native Nate Merritt led the way. The win went to Daisuke Yoshioka in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Lance Hearty took the loss. The win makes Scranton WB 18-27.

Scranton WB took a 4-2 lead on Victor Soto's 11th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Soto hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Gwinnett pitcher Ryan Leese visibly frustrated.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Merritt told the Scranton WB Daily.
