Zach Johnson, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2108 draft, led Pawtucket to a win over Charlotte. The final score was 7-4. Johnson scored 2 times, while going 2 for 2. The third baseman also was credited with 1 run batted in. Ryan Sobon got the win, improving to 7-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Steven Barnes earned the save, his 8th.

Pawtucket catcher Dustin Mollman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 7-4.

The loss makes Charlotte 28-16.
