The Louisville Bats got a sterling performance from pitcher Allen Tobar, but the Rochester Red Wings still prevailed, 6-2. Tobar threw 7.2 innings allowing 6 runs. Dan Lindsey earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 3-2. The 5th-place Red Wings sport a record of 22-24.

Matt Hughes came through for Rochester when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to left field, staking his team to a 4-2 lead.
