Big Day for Binder in 8-3 Flying Squirrels Win
The Richmond Flying Squirrels defeated the Reading Fightin Phils, 8-3. Doing his part was first baseman Eric Binder, who was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The second-place Flying Squirrels raised their record to 35-16.

In the top of the fourth of a scoreless game, Binder hit a solo home run to put his team ahead.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Binder, "and then get after it again."
