Scranton WB Nets 3-2 Win Versus Tides
|
The RailRiders earned a hard-fought, 3-2 win in 11 innings at Harbor Park. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Norfolk pitcher Roland Nobilo. Nobilo went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Ricky Roy notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-3. At 23-23, Scranton WB is in 4th place in the North Division.
Scranton WB used the timely hitting of Ricky Aguirre to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the RailRiders on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Aguirre.
