Red Wings Topple Indians, 6-4, as Washington Shines
The Rochester Red Wings beat the Indianapolis Indians, 6-4, at Victory Field. Donovan Washington, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Red Wings raised their record to 25-22.

Washington had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Jeff Leoni, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Red Wings a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Washington.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Washington said. "That's how it goes."
