Fisher Cats Suffer 3-0 Setback
|
Trenton Thunder starter Chris Williams was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 3-0. The winner was Williams. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Franklin Castro. The Thunder move to 17-35 with the win, while the Fisher Cats drop to 24-28.
Trenton took a 3-0 lead on Jim Duncan's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Duncan hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New Hampshire pitcher Franklin Castro visibly frustrated.
"I liked the focus, I liked the effort," said Thunder manager Melvin Slosar.
