Syracuse got a terrific performance from pitcher Bill Robinson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Toledo Mud Hens. Toledo won the NBT Bank Stadium contest, 4-3. Robinson threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Toledo pitcher Matthew Robert got the win. He's now 1-4. John Stone was tagged with the loss. Craig Wells earned the save for Toledo, his 1st.

Toledo used the timely hitting of Alex Mata to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mud Hens on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Mata told the Toledo Daily News.

The Mud Hens now own a record of 20-28.
