In Extras, Clippers Beat Bisons
|
The Columbus Clippers picked up a win at Huntington Park, dropping the Buffalo Bisons, 5-4, in 11 innings. Juliano Capela was the difference-maker. Columbus reliever Paul Cowles picked up the win. John Gongloff took the loss for Buffalo. With the win, the Clippers have a record of 27-22.
The decisive blow was delivered by Ernesto Zetino in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick John Gongloff to win the game for Columbus. The home crowd went nuts.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Columbus manager Toby West.
