Down to Defeat Go Tides, 4-2
|
Scranton WB pitcher Richard Silverstone did his part in helping his team beat the Norfolk Tides, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Scranton WB reliever Rob Juarez got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Roland Nobilo was tagged with the loss. Ricky Roy, who is tied for 8th in the IL in saves with 5, earned the save for Scranton WB.
Scranton WB went in front, 4-2, on Jaden Coley's 3rd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Coley hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Norfolk pitcher Roland Nobilo visibly perturbed.
"Whenever I help the team," said Coley, "I feel like I earned my paycheck."
The 5th-place RailRiders now sit at 24-27.
