Indianapolis registered a win at Coca-Cola Field by beating the Buffalo Bisons, 6-3. Pitcher Scott Connell was one reason why the Indians triumphed. The winner was Connell. He threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was John Mitchell. The first-place Indians now have a win-loss record of 29-22.

With no one out in the bottom of the seventh, Roberto Marquez had a chance to do some damage. Buffalo was trailing 5-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. Marquez came to the plate against Ryan Rupnow, and grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough to complete a Buffalo comeback.
