The exploits of shortstop Tony Bernal helped the Charlotte Knights defeat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 11-1. Bernal went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Charlotte is now 23-29, Pawtucket 20-32.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Bernal hit a 2-run double off Eric Flores. It propelled the Knights into the lead, 3-1.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Bernal said after the game.
