Indians Come Back Late to Top Red Sox, 3-1
|
Indianapolis and Pawtucket played a hard-fought contest.
Getting an impressive start from Mike Gallegos, Indianapolis beat Pawtucket by the score of 3-1. The winner was Brian Boon in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jose Hoyos took the loss.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Kevin Kinkade to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Indians on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a good effort all around," said Kinkade.
Indianapolis has an impressive 35-18 record.
