Spore Shines in 8-5 Charlotte Win
Charlotte and Lehigh Valley duked it out and the Knights came out victorious.

Charlotte first baseman Robby Spore contributed significantly to his team's 8-5 win over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Spore, who leads the IL with a .337 batting average, went 3 for 3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Knights. The defeat makes Lehigh Valley 27-27.

Gilberto Frausto had a big 2-run double for the Knights in the bottom of the third inning. With Charlotte leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 22-year old left-handed pitcher B.J. Bingham and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 5-2.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Spore told the Charlotte Today. "Whatever it takes."
