At Victory Field, the Rochester Red Wings and Indianapolis Indians were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Getting an impressive start from Jose Acosta, Indianapolis beat Rochester by the score of 5-1. Acosta, the winner, moves to 3-7. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks.

Jim Pak had a big bases-clearing double for the Indians in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Indianapolis leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jody Ford and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Indians ahead, 5-1.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Pak, "and then get after it again."

The win makes Indianapolis 26-29.
