Bisons Topple Clippers with Late Rally
|
Starting pitcher Tony Reyes took care of business, helping the Buffalo Bisons stifle the Columbus Clippers, 5-2. Buffalo reliever Tony Reyes got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Corey Mercer was tagged with the loss. Buffalo is now 32-23, while Columbus is 13-42.
Buffalo took a 5-2 lead on Dakota Price's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Price hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Columbus pitcher Tom Martin visibly frustrated.
"Tony gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Buffalo skipper Casey Bac.
