Braves Come Up Short at Scranton WB, 5-4
|
The Scranton WB RailRiders and Gwinnett Braves obliged fans looking for a good time.
Sam Sokol had a 3-RBI game, during Scranton WB's 5-4 triumph over Gwinnett. Sokol had 1 single, 1 double, and 1 walk in the contest. Ken Moody earned the save for Scranton WB, his 1st.
Had William Gonzalez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Gonzalez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the RailRiders.
"We've got great fans," said Gonzalez. "I hope they got what they came for."
Scranton WB bumps their record to 31-24 with the win.
