The Syracuse Chiefs beat the Gwinnett Braves, 7-3. Syracuse pitcher and Springfield, Florida, native Tim Brown led the way. The victory gives Syracuse a record of 32-23.

Nate Phares helped out the Syracuse cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring strikeout. For the game, the pinch hitter did the little things right to help the team.
