IronPigs Fall to Mud Hens, 5-2
|
The Toledo Mud Hens topped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs by the score of 5-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Donald Nohl. Nohl went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Mud Hens on the day. Brandon Meyer picked up the save for Toledo, his 2nd of the year. The 'W' lifts Toledo's record to 30-26.
Willie Amaro, who leads the IL with a .431 on-base percentage, aided the Toledo cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the pinch hitter was 2-2 with 2 singles.
"Don't let his youth fool you," said Mud Hens manager Mike Sizemore. "Donald knows what he's doing out there."
