Red Sox Handle IronPigs, Nab 3-2 Win
|
In a tight tilt between Pawtucket and Lehigh Valley, pitcher Josh Moorehead was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-2 Red Sox win. The win puts Pawtucket at 31-29 this season.
Alvin Manley, who is tied for 9th in the IL in triples with 3, contributed to the Pawtucket win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Red Sox manager Chris Harris. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
