3-0 Loss Extends Scranton WB Losing Streak
Nate Merritt could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Scranton WB RailRiders lost, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Buffalo Bisons at Coca-Cola Field. Hal Lee picked up the win in relief. Nate Merritt took the loss for Scranton WB. Jason Norris earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Victor Soto had a big run-scoring double for the Bisons in the bottom of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Nate Merritt and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bisons ahead, 2-0.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Scranton WB skipper Chris Carley.

Today's win puts Buffalo at 33-32, while Scranton WB falls to 25-40.
