RailRiders Collect 7-5 Win Over Red Sox
The Scranton WB RailRiders picked up a win at McCoy Stadium, downing the Pawtucket Red Sox, 7-5, in 12 innings. On the mound for Scranton WB was right-hander Kirk Wharton, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win makes Scranton WB 24-42.

Scranton WB needed the clutch hitting of Austin Welder to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the RailRiders on top, 7-4. For the game, Welder had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
